Vision |
Vision statement
We are committed to being a faithful community within the changing
diversity of the inner city. Like a tree near a stream, we will draw on
the life-giving water Jesus promised his followers. Our mission will
become like the trunk and branches of a great tree offering resting
space, protection, and hope to all kinds of people: the young, the old,
the poor, the broken and the alienated of our city. We will seek to
awaken people into discipleship and partnership so that they will offer
their gifts and service to produce the life-giving fruit of God's
mission.
The vision tree prayer
O Lord, may we become like the trunk and branches of a great tree
offering rest space, faith and hope to all people.
Awake us into a love that gives and serves and through our sharing and
in our being, create in us the fruit of true everlasting life.
